General Instruction

1. This selection test is for becoming an Airman of the Indian Air Force and not for selection as a Selection Officer / Pilot / Navigator. The examination is valid for one intake only ie intake 01/2023.

2. This selection test is only for eligible Indian (Indian / Nepali) candidates. There are no female characters.

3. Applicant can be a civilian or serving NC (E) of the Indian Air Force. If you are a citizen, you must be an unmarried candidate. If you are a serving NC (E) of the Indian Air Force, you may be a married or unmarried male, who are subject to meeting the eligibility criteria of the respective date of birth.

4. The test procedure for recruitment as an Airman in the Indian Air Force is outlined as under three steps: –

Education Test Required For Joining

group Y Trades	Mathematics, passed with physics and English Intermediate / 10 + 2 / equivalent examination of the English 50% marks and 50% marks. Or In Engineering in any Section 3-year diploma course, as shown below, from the Polytechnic Institute recognized by the government with 50% marks and 50% marks in English Diploma or Intermediate / Matriculation, if English Diploma There is no topic course.
Group Y (Med Asst and Musician) Trades	Should have passed Class 10 + 2/Intermediate/Equivalent exam from an education board / Institute listed in Council of Boards for School Education (COBSE) website as members, in any stream/subjects with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in English as per the mark sheet of Class 10 + 2 / Intermediate /Equivalent exam.
Group Y (Med Asst) Trades	Passed 10+2 / Intermediate / equivalent exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate, and 50% marks in English.
Group Y (Musician Trade) Trades	Passed Matriculation /10th class or equivalent with minimum pass marks from any Government recognised School/Boards and should be proficient in playing at least one of the following musical instruments: Trumpet / Bass / Violin / Saxophone / Clarinet / Euphonium / Jazz-Drum / Piccolo / Bass Trombone / Key Board / Guitar / Sarod / Viola / Cello / Contra Bass (String Bass).
Group X Trades	(i) Those Candidates age have been 20 – 25 Year, he must be With a minimum of 50% marks in the form of subjects or subjects with BC or Physics / Psychology / Chemistry / Mathematics / IT / Computer Science / Data with BA subjects with English or BCA.
